The state of hose couplings is seldom monitored by process control systems, and is consequently a frequent source of errors such as forgetting to connect the vapour return hose. When this happens, COSY immediately signals the process control warning system.
COSY has the special advantage of monitoring without the use of sensors. This eliminates possible sources of failure such as dirt, moisture or other environmental condtions, as these cannot influence COSY's function. COSY is certified to EEx ia IIC and can be used in Zone 0 explosive atmospheres.
The RS COSY fills a gap in a safety system and provides higher safety for both staff and the environment.
